The Common Redstarts - Save It For Your Friends

Uprising Edinburgh based talent, The Common Redstarts, have been playing together for five years, and in the midst of recording their debut album, release their first single, Save It For Your Friends.

With off-kilter Strokes-esque riffs, Hives-like bass, and vocals reminiscent of Caleb Followill's of Kings Of Leon, The Common Redstarts stink of kitsch garage rock.

But The Common Redstarts are not just another bunch of wannabies (yes, I'm looking at you Razorlight). They make melodic but simple, happy go lucky pop in the coolest, rockiest way I have heard in some time, and with lyrics like; "summer in the city/lookin' pretty shitty" to ice the cake who can resist them?
