Close your eyes and it could be 1983 again. Just imagine you're back in the local discotheque, trying to avoid being poked in the eye by a huge shoulder pad or even huger hair, admiring your Day-Glo legwarmers and wondering whether tartan is on its way out.

In other words, Computer Club are feel-good music for anyone who wants to live the dream like the 80s never happened. The four Brummie lads might not be Duran Duran (and in fact they sound a bit more like Spandau Ballet really) but they'll certainly do.

Described as a 'more melodic Bloc Party' and already big in Japan, they're eminently listenable, unpretentious synth-driven pop rock and a damn site better than The Twang. We'll have more of this, please.
