Fuck me this sounds rubbish. Three seconds in and there's interference on the track, it sounds like someone's been driving a cement mixer over the band in the studio. Ah, turns out the CD's knackered. Wondered why Snobs only lasted 16 seconds. At first I thought it was a dramatic punk statement, but it turns out it's a mere technical hitch.

Via nefarious means, or MySpace, I can't remember which, a whole version of Snobs is finally located. It isn't a dramatic punk statement, but it is a passable stab at that New Wave spiky guitar punk that seems to be washing across the music world at the moment. Admittedly Computer Club try to make it all seem a bit more grandiose. You can't fault the production, Snobs simply sounds massive (and if you ignore the pitiful lyrics the notion of grandeur is much easier to achieve). We've got Editors though, so do we really need this second rate version? It's all very generic and uninventive.

Nevertheless you can imagine this kind of thing making its way on to radio and becoming the next big thing. Count me out though; I don't really fancy being a member of the Computer Club. If the next single has a cement mixer on it, I might reconsider.
