Dana Rayne is a DJ turned 'dance diva' from New York City. Apparently the white label version of Object Of My Desire was so successful at Liverpool's 051 Club that excited punters constantly sang the song's chorus at the DJ when he faded it out.

Well, maybe the white label version had something that this commercial release lacked as, to these ears at least, this is a song made solely with mobile phone ringtones in mind. Repetitive and lacking any type of soul or passion, it features Ms Rayne imploring the titular object to "make love to me" as he "really turns her on". Now admittedly you don't look to dance music for thought provoking lyrics, but the sheer mundane nature of the song does leave the listener with the desire to bash their head hard against the nearest wall.

No doubt excited clubbers will be queuing to buy this, but it lacks the invention that marks out truly quality dance music. Incidentally, there are five different remixes on this CD single, none of which sound remotely different from each other whatsoever.
