Matthew Herbert has already created a bit of a stir this year with his mind-boggingly inventive album Scale, and now one of his long-term collaborators Dani Siciliano appears with what it bound to be classed as one of the most infectious songs of the year.

Herbert's influence is stamped all over the track, with all manner of sounds bursting from the speakers. She's classed as 'electronica', but this is one of those genuinely unclassifiable songs. It throws everything into the mix, from bluegrass, disco, jazz and country, and from the opening double bass riff, you'll find it impossible not to move. Sicilano's voice is very reminiscent of another of Herbert's friends, Roisin Murphy, and she packs a similarly vibrant personality into the song.

With backing vocals from cult teen country-bluegrass trio Kitty, Daisy And Lewis, this is all set to become the summer's coolest listen. Siciliano is a unique talent, and her forthcoming second album Slappers should be one of the most intriguing albums of the year.
