In a recent interview Danko admitted that being neighbours with George Bush doesn't do this band of soulful rockers any favours when they travel the world, but with songs the calibre of this, all can be forgiven.
Such sweet funky rock, with infectious choruses and an even better groove is a real rarity in these days of bland bands a-plenty and if, as they say, hitting the nail on the head is a mark of success, then Danko Jones have whacked the little fella in with such precision that even TV's Handy Andy would be chuffed.
Taken from their latest album We Sweat Blood, one of the hardest working (and most impressive) bands I have seen in ages should be topping the charts with their latest slice of raw power. I doubt they will, but better to shower the world with a little gold than a load of crap, eh folks?
