Darren Hayes, he of acrobatic vocals and canny pop sensibility, offers up his second solo single, taken from the album Spin.
Strange Relationship doesn't quite offer the same level of vocal prowess as Insatiable, but the strings arrangement, the use of a church organ and quirky rhythm parts suggest Hayes is more than just a pretty face - and can justly be called a pop craftsman.
The strings add a melancholy edge to what is otherwise a sparkling pop ditty - personifying the dichotomy of the title and the song's lyrics. Here, opposites really do work.
