Death From Above 1979's latest release Romantic Rights is a blistering effort from the Toronto two-piece, giving reason as to why their limited edition disc Blood On Our Hands sold out on Ebay.

With exclamations such as "I know you love me" and "I don't need you", the Dave Grohl-like vocals of Death From Above 1979 blissfully flow over scratching guitars and electronic beats, and give the result of a "What if" scenario if Franz Ferdinand were ever to be merged with The Icarus Line. The lyrical egotism fuels Romanic Rights with a power that screams out "We're good and we know it", and just like The Hives, Death From Above 1979 may just be right.

If this is the direction to which Death From Above 1979 intend to follow then when they yell "I know you love me", sold out venues full of arty rockers cavorting around in Death From Above 1979 t-shirts are likely to yell back "Yes we do!"
