It may have been 14 years since her last solo album, but from this first single it looks as though Ms Harry is blasting back with a vengeance and with everything you'd expect from the original pop-rock diva.
In fact, that description pretty much tells you all you need to know about this track, as this is isn't a lady that you compare to others. It's drums, guitars and the sexy, breathy vocals that have made the Blondie frontwoman and legend in her own lifetime. Admittedly her voice isn't quite what it was, but it's still streets ahead of most of her imitators.
All that said, it's not really anything new. In making her comeback she's playing it safe by going with exactly what everyone expects, the question is whether or not it will be enough. This has enough to find a home for itself somewhere in the charts, but whether this is a full-on return or just a momentary blip will rest entirely on the album.
