Deep Dish enjoyed sold-out tour success and many plaudits for their effortlessly sweetspot-hitting debut artist album George Is On, not least from this site, in 2005. Dreams is one of that record's most uplifting numbers.
A quarter of a century ago Stevie Nicks told journalists: "I never get tired of singing Dreams". She wrote the song for Fleetwood Mac, and here it sounds made for trance, complete with re-recorded vocals by Nicks herself. The Axwell remix has already been picked up by Pete Tong as his first Essential New Tune of 2006 on his Radio 1 show.
That insistent, pumping version is a highlight here and sits alongside the radio edit and club mix, while two further seven-minute tranceathons should please those seeking something a little heavier. Ushering in thoughts of sun, sea, Faliraki, Aya Napa and Miami in a soggy springtime, Dubfire and Sharam are indeed men of Dreams.
