From occasionally good summer pop shimmeriness to all-out disco-ness in less than two years. Just think, it sounds like a really bad idea, but in practice, it's so much worse. Imagine Erasure and you're almost there. Imagine Erasure covering Danni Minogue's seminal 'hit', This Is It, and you're completely there, and probably sobbing gently at the horror of it all.
With Greg Gilbert either going through some kind of reverse puberty or having jumped onto a bike with no seat from a second floor balcony, those oh-so pesky Cocteau Twin Liz Frazer vocal comparisons are but a dim and distant memory, replaced by the grim reality of a world of bad Jimmy Somerville impressions.
Which is handy, as while it prances around in a tight-white t-shirt, the rest of the band can stare starry-eyed at the Scissor Sisters' glitterballs and recreate some sort of horrible approximation to their camptacular exuberance. It's remarkably vile, staggeringly ill-advised, and is a shoe-in for the title of worst comeback single of the year.
