South London's Do Me Bad Things are a nonet. Yes, a band with nine talented members: five vocalists, one vocalist-cum-guitarist, a lead guitarist, bassist and a drummer/keyboardist. That's not the only unusual thing about them...
Pigeonholing DMBT's music is about as difficult as trying to gnaw off your own foot - which isn't recommended. Equal parts rock, pop, soul and RnB, there's nothing else modern that straddles the genre bucket to quite such an extent. It sounds like a smoothie mixed together by the Scissor Sisters, Led Zeppelin and The Brand New Heavies.
What's Hideous starts with roaring lion-rock guitar riffs and a singer who sounds for all the world like Joss Stone. As the song progresses it becomes as cool as James Bond in an icebox. If you like your music fun, funky and a little bit different, then look no further than Do Me Bad Things.
