Spitting in the face of modern technology, this single's release seems largely down, not to MySpace or YouTube, but to the fact that Walker gave Chris Moyles a copy of it outside BBC Radio 1. He played it on the breakfast show, and the next thing you know, there's a major record deal in the bag.

Well-crafted, it's an impressive, self-assured debut. There's no doubt that with more songs along the lines of The Mystery, he cold find a huge market for his material. However, it's a pretty tired and crowded genre, so he's going to need a few more grandstanding tracks to really compete.
