After completing their support slot with British Sea Power, The Duke Spirit release their latest single Dark Is Light Enough with an additional two tracks, You Were Born Inside My Heart and the demo track Boot Hill.

Dark Is Light Enough is a funky indie/alt-rock track that bears similarity to many of the LA art-rock bands that have emerged over the past few years. However, singer Liela Moss's voice adds layers to otherwise simply structured music, and is immediately reminiscent of an '80s arty punk rocker, perhaps the product of Debbie Harry and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs' Karen O.

The Duke Spirit have a hit on their hands: it may be a common sound but Moss's vocals ensure that it can instantly be called their own.
