Where did it all go wrong? How could Josh Homme have created such wonderful music with Kyuss and Queens of the Stone Age (whose Desert Sessions albums the Eagles of Death Metal would first appear on) and then manage to come up with this hunk of crap?

I Want You So Hard is a Carry On joke filtered through the Monster Mash before finally being set to an accompanying track that Homme could have written in his sleep. Had he written it in his sleep he'd have been so ashamed he'd never have mentioned it to anyone ever again.

But maybe I'm missing the point. Surely Eagles of Death Metal were never really meant to be taken seriously they were just a way for Homme and buddy Jesse Hughes to let off a bit of steam? Well, this joke isn't funny any more. It's all just a bit pointless. It thrashes away for a couple of minutes before thankfully dying out. If any further proof be needed of just how impotent this little venture is, you need look no further than the completely lifeless cover of Addicted To Love. Robert Palmer could do better now, and he really is lifeless.
