Picked out by Kerrang! last month as the highlight of the album This is where I stand, You & Me has been rerecorded, roughed up and ravaged by producer Owen Morris to create something completely different from the album version.

The catchy anthemic tune has a background of heavy thumping guitars and the wailing lyrics from Dav Ford are agonised. He fits right in to the current vogue for high voices – if you like that sort of thing this is worth a listen, though it left me thinking there has to be more to music than this.

Little Sensation is in the same vein while the fun cover version of Hopelessly Devoted To You is rather lovely and shows that when it comes to torch songs Fords voice fits the bill perfectly. A second CD features the album version of You & Me with long-time live favourite, Better Ways To Self-destruct.
