Psychobilly mayhem abounds from the Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster in this, their new single Chicken. It starts sub pinball wizard riff, quickly turns a nice shade of dark cheese, and swings into The Damned mixed with The Stray Cats.
It drives on madly, but as a single, it almost doesn't catch. I prefer the second track, Palomino's Dream by the Boogs, which races by in a stream of swearing, screaming and camp la-la-las.
Nice musically, but shame about the adolescent misogynist lyrics.
