The Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster - Rise Of The Eagles (MCA)
UK release date: 11 October 2004
The Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster - Rise Of The Eagles
Sounding like a decaffeinated Motorhead, by the cover (and the website) they are some sort of pastiche glam-metal band - but the joke is kind of lost on me. Tongue-in-cheek heavy metal is rather over-egging the pudding, isn't it?

As soon as you've heard the first 20 seconds you've heard the whole thing. Drums that bash in exactly the same rhythm as the electric guitar, self-mocking Elvis-style singing, and a repetitive melody. I think there were three chords used, but it seemed more like one - I would listen once more to make certain, but I just can't.

Over-flattering reviews have likened them to The Cramps, a wholly unjustifiable (and maybe even libellous) parallel. More like pre-scandal Gary Glitter minus the short-lived charm.
