James Bond used to have a handy little device in his cars. It lit cigarettes, and could be used alternatively as a way to charge a mobile phone. Next to the fag lighter, was a little button that could be used to eject unwanted people from the car. Not much use really to the everyday person, but as each day passes the need for such a button increases at an alarming rate.
Not that a single seat would be enough to eject the sheer quantity of bands that have adopted the spiky guitars, cockerney shouty vocals, and (more recently) little rave keyboard interjections approach to their music. What you'd require is a sizeable fleet of lorries attached to some kind of long range missile to remove the offending artists from the local environ and more preferably the planet.
What Do They Care? is yet another bland and predictable stab at new wave, pop punk, whatever you want to call it. No doubt it'll propel the band towards stardom, but what we should really be doing is propelling them towards the stars in a lorry attached to a missile. Meanwhile we can light a fag, charge our phones, and listen to some decent music safe in the knowledge that at least one pollutant to the environment has been safely ejected.
