The Shady/Aftermath family has had a relatively quiet year and it seems that Eminem has come up with a way of raising a few cents to add to the Christmas present fund. Or maybe he was saving his money with Farepak. He’s basically thrown together a few of his pals and seen what they can come up with.
Thrown into the blend is the relatively unknown Cashis who fails to impress with his 16 bars, even average rapper Lloyd Banks of the G-Unit looks sounds like a rap heavy-weight next to the debutante. Eminem’s production saves You Don’t Know from total oblivion with a typically polished and rich sounding beat.
Although 50 Cent and Eminem meet their expected high standards of witty and rapid flows bouncing off each other this doesn’t seem like a track worthy of release. It seems more suited to the devastatingly high standard of mixtape the family put out, something to generate hype. Instead it seems like nothing more than a cheap way to capitalise on the stocking-filler market. - Azeem Ahmad
