Emma Bunton - Crickets Sing For Anamaria (Polydor)
UK release date: 31 May 2004
Emma Bunton - Crickets Sing For Anamaria
A single with a title as ridiculous as this certainly raises a few questions. The most obvious being "what the...?". Well I'm in no position to answer that, you'd have to ask Ms. Bunton.

The latest release from the album Free Me is an upbeat number having a sly giggle at the amount of Latino influenced music around at the moment. Either that or Emma has truly lost the plot and thinks she's our answer to J-Lo, with what can only be described as "Spanglish" vocals (trying quite hard but still being English).

Maybe it's because I'm sitting enjoying the laziest of weekends and shock horror - the sun, that I really like this self-professed "happy song". Only question left then is can anyone else see anything positive in the mockery of pop-music?
