It would have been great had Enrique played Tom Cruise's role in Vanilla Sky - seeing his face all mashed up would have been bliss. Why the bitterness? Well he annoys me immensely. But then again cavorting with various and many beautiful women is enough to annoy any adolescent male, or any male for that matter.

As for the song, Addicted isn't all that bad - for about 15 seconds until the guy starts singing. The opening lyric "Have I told you how good it is to be me" epitomises Enrique and frankly is enough to make you want to cut the power off to your house, let alone turn the stereo off.

Unfortunately I've got to face facts - this type of trash sells. The track serves its purpose, slow pop with a kind of rocky/orchestral feel. It will no doubt do very well but to quote from the editor of this site "if you don't like it you can always use it as a beer mat".
