After the rather misjudged (but still successful) covers project, Other People's Songs, Andy Bell and Vince Clarke return with their first original material in nearly five years.

Breathe is a more sombre number than we're used to from the Kings Of Camp, being a mid-paced ballad sprinkled with Clarke's usual effortless electro-pop sheen. There's an air of melancholy to the song, matched by the additional track on the CD, the lovely Gone Crazy.

Although the popular image of Erasure is that of silly costumes and high energy campness, Breathe shows off a different side to them. And with the phenomenal success of the Scissor Sisters over the last 12 months, this could well see them open to a whole new audience.
