Despite the competition from Shystie it seems like Estelle is clinging onto the crown as Queen of the UK hip-hop sound - but only just. Given that Diamond In The Dirt and The 18th Day were of comparable quality, and given that both have been relatively quiet of late, someone needs to step their game up.

Of course in reality I doubt whether either of the two are particularly bothered about labels. Yet Go Gone takes the genre to a place it's never been before: It is clearly Motown influenced, but it takes that into the 21st Century. The showcase videos of Big Brovaz would be perfectly fitting for Go Gone.

It is truly refreshing for such an experimental track to be pushed for release. Whether or not Go Gone is suitable for mainstream success is another question, but you can certainly see this inspiring some equally experimental dancing at popular nightclubs up and down the country.
