It must be embarrassing to be Midge Ure. Not only does he have to deal with transforming sublime electro-rock band Ultravox into a second division pop act, a solo career that has been patchy at best and having Gob Almighty Geldof take all the credit for his ONE GOOD IDEA, now he has to contend with having a daughter who is the singer in one of the worst bands in living memory.

Yes, that girl with the bad dye job is Molly Lorenne, or Molly Ure as her Dad probably calls her. The Faders have already etched themselves into the public consciousness with their infectious No Sleep Tonight - infectious, but then so was the Black Death. Now she and bandmates Toy Valentine (bass/pretentious stage name/scowl) and Cherisse Osei (drums/scowl) inflict more torture on the world with the painful Look At Me Now.

The band supported Kelly Clarkson on her 2006 UK tour and the musical influence is clear - this is a shameless Clarkson rip-off, yet lacking the charm of her material. The lyrics are sloppy sixth-form poetry, the kind of hormone-fuelled faux-angst that Avril Lavigne would casually toss off in-between smoking her first cigarette behind the bikeshed and buying her first bra. Expect to see a horde of wannabe teenage girls buying this alongside their first Kurt Cobain hoody. Cheap, gimmicky rubbish.
