Well, it was inevitable I suppose. After the demise of Busted comes 2005's new big idea...girl bands...but this time...with guitars! The Faders are currently being sold as the "female Busted" which is a bit unfair as going by this, their songs aren't actually half bad.

Perhaps a closer comparasion, musically speaking, would be "the rock Girls Aloud". No Sleep Tonight introduces itself with a killer bassline before exploding into life with a chorus that lodges incessentally into the brain. It's a fun little pop song in other words and as long as The Faders don't start describing themselves as 'punk' they'll do just fine.

Of course, girls with guitars is nothing new as Belinda Carlisle's old group The Go Gos will testify - but The Faders are bringing it to the attention of a whole new generation and for that, more power to them.
