"I can't believe you like that Faith Evans track!" she said. How wrong can a girl be? Very. How very? Well...as a bloke this number grabbed me right from the first time I heard it. Starting with a guitar/bass loop so cool and fulfilling it's an aural equivalent of a long chilled Coca-Cola in a high Catholic mass.

To tell the truth, it wasn't the song the girl didn't like anyway - just the lyrics. And I guess a woman would know better than me, since these lyrics are all about Faith bein' in lurrve. Bein so in lurrve that she's mesmerised.

But who cares about the words when the music is so uproariously uplifting? Faith Evans' verse melody is mesmerising in itself, hitting that high note at just the right rhythm and just the right bluesy tone. So maaa baby's wrong - this is great stuff.
