It's pretty much a given fact that Chicago's Fall Out Boy aren't quite the band they were two years ago.
They've endorsed products in their videos, had numerous ruckuses with the music press, and - in the case of Mr Wentz - got their bits out on the ol' t'interweb. And all that'd be fine, were it not for their songs taking a distinct turn for the worse.
The fact is, much as you wish it were, latest single The Take Over, The Breaks Over is no Sugar, We're Goin Down. Truth be told, it's got very little on Infinity On High's first single release This Ain't A Scene, It's An Arms Race either. Quasi-boyband by-numbers pop-rock with very little flair or imagination; certainly not what we've come to expect from Wentz, Stump and Co.
