It seems an odd tactic to release a double-A side of tracks from an album that's been out for several months, especially when one of them - She Can Do What She Wants - was originally released as a single way back in 2005 but let's give Field Music the benefit of the doubt and assume they know what they're doing.
After all, She Can Do What She Wants is a good song, a catchy and fun pop melody with a good hook. Sit Tighter, originally written following a heated debate about the nature of pop music between the band and their then-label of the same name, has been reworked from the album version to the extent that it seems to be mostly another attempt by the band to subvert the nature of pop while championing it from the rooftops.
All in all then, a good little package of two good little tunes, if perhaps just a bit pointless. At least it will serve to get them on the radio, and if you haven't got the tracks already, it's a good introduction to what they have to offer. But for a few quid more, you could go and buy the album instead.
