Fizzgig come from Cincinnati in the USA and had the privilege winning Budweiser Band Of The Month in their native country. They take their catchy, commercial rock from the likes of Ash and Weezer, and, as such, have an undeniable charm.

So it comes as no surprise that You Can't Have Me has thirsty vibe with its melodic pop-rock flavour. It is fast and hard, yet it is wrapped up in an irresistible and quirky duvet. The vocals are whiny enough get annoying after a bit, but it's good solid music for the charts.

There is definitely room for these guys in the UK - they have a fan base waiting for them, particularly amongst adolescents who go for bands like Fountains Of Wayne. They have a sense of humour and sound like a lot of fun, and there is nothing wrong with that. This debut single is as cool as a light beer.
