Franz And Shape have caused such a buzz in the matter of months since the release of their first album Acceleration that their peers are now falling over themselves to sample some of the action
Whilst Tiga, Mylo and 2 Many DJs are some of their more well known ethusiasts, fellow labelmates Riot In Belgium, the much lauded Kissy Sellout and Tronik Youth are on hand for this offering of reinterpretations of Francesco Spazzoli and Chris Shape's cuts.
The two versions of The Man Who Paid Before are a fair clash of styles; Riot In Belgium up the fuzz for a short stomping bedroom remix. Tronik Youth's take is a gloriously mammoth nine-minute electro rub. Meanwhile the current toast of town Kissy Sellout fixes a scuzzy, body popping skewer of a job to Tightropes.
It all works quite naturally, and if it doesn't succeed in drawing your attentions to the three on here, it should at least convince you to invest some time in the originals.
