Welsh wonders Funeral For A Friend look set to impress and possibly expand their already hefty number of fans with this third single lifted off their second album Hours.
From the beginning riff to the anthemic climax of "So raise your hands up high and wash us away", Roses for the Dead is certainly a song designed to be played live and is a reminder of what FFAF do best:- demolish stages worldwide. Lines like "I never listened to a word you never said" are sung with such emotion, it's hard not to be drawn into the band's honesty and accessible approach.
Even with protégés Bullet For My Valentine being praised as the new Funeral For A Friend, the FFAF boys remind us of how these five boys from Wales bowled over millions with their post hardcore and how they're not going to be replaced just yet. - Uma Uthayashanker
