The Game's last 18 months have been a lesson in how to ruin a perfectly good career. After all he was under the wing of Dr Dre and the rest of the Aftermath family, The Documentary was well received and all was rosy. Until someone told him some tales about 50 Cent sparking a playground feud ending in his short association with the hip-hop juggernauts.
Apparently he's having another bash at this gangsta-rap malarkey, not that you'd know it. Despite previous release (It's Okay (One Blood) being a very impressive track it barely managed to scrape the top 70 in its first week of release and Let's Ride has had even less air play and hype attached to it. Although that's possibly because it's run of the mill at best.
The track is a fairly generic west coast easy-riding beat with Scott Storchs production, and even some of Game's vocals show more than a nod of appreciation to the good Dr. Dre. The track lacks in any of the vigour and enthusiasm that came with his debut major release album and the self-proclamation to being hip-hop's M.V.P is looking ever-more ridiculous.
