As slowly but surely a fanbase builds for this savvy Irish lass, Gemma Hayes looks more and more like that most rare of creatures - a genuine star whose music is her own.

Let A Good Thing Go is one of the stand-out tracks from her recent album Night On My Side, full of pulsating bass, world-weary lyrics, emotive guitar and Hayes' balanced vocals.

She's yet to have a hit, but this should set her on the road to achieving some.
