Gemma Hayes releases her much-delayed debut album on the uber-cool Source label just a couple of weeks after this taster goes public - and already in her native Ireland she's winning plaudits by the truckload, nominated for Best Female in the Emerald Isle's Hot Press Awards.
She layers resolutely indie instrumentals over vaguely distorted rhythms and wails and purrs over the top like some kind of Irish Kristin Hersh or Beth Orton.
Hanging Around isn't the strongest track on the album but it's a solid introduction to a lady you'll hear much more about over the next year.
