Now officially the most successful girl group in the country after 16 consecutive Top Ten hits, Girls Aloud show no sign of slowing down. One of the reasons for their success is to play around with the basic rules of pop - so you may get a song with no discernable chorus (Sexy! No No No) or three or four songs all meshed toegther in a mutant electro-blues concoction (Biology).
Or then again, you may get a straight '80s revivalist conventional pop sound, such as Call The Shots. It's sheer normality sounds a bit jarring at first listen, given the slightly unhinged nature of much of their previous singles, but that naggingly insistent chorus soon wears its way into the brain.
Throw in the usual sparkling Xenomania production and sassy lyrics about kissing a bad relationship goodbye, and you have a guaranteed 17th hit on the way. The Spice Girls revival you say? Who?
