The latest offering by The Glitterati, Here Comes A Close Up, is a fast paced frenzy of rock guitars, bass and drums, with frenetic vocals building up until Paul Gautrey is screaming into his microphone. And just when it seems the song can't build any more, the band make a full stop, before starting again in a more low key way. This track seems made to be performed live.

The EP also features tracks Gimme What's Yours and You Need You. Since these are at a slightly slower pace, have more singing but are still rock-y, they are maybe more accessible and are only likely to broaden their appeal.

Discovered by Alan McGee (yes, he who found The Jesus And Mary Chain and Oasis), The Glitterati seem to be on the pathway to fame and fortune, and based on this evidence it seems that they might deserve it.
