Can you imagine taking this to an X-Factor audition and playing it? If you did, you'd have to run off pretty quick before the screams of displeasure ruptured your eardrums. "Too much bass!" "I can't wave my lighter to this!" "Where's the change of key at the end?" You'd be in deep trouble. But it isn't half good.

There are few things in life better than listening to a song that's more concerned with sounding as good as it possibly can than it is about chart positions. Crazy, a collaboration between Dangermouse and Cee-lo used as the soundtrack to Radio 1's recent TV adverts, is one such song.

You can tell when the singer is or isn't merely singing his lines as they appear on the page and on this track he's really giving it some welly. No over the top wailing, just giving the words a bit of oomph. The tune itself is pretty minimal, but then it doesn't really need much. You've got your bass and drums during the verses and, during the chorus, a string section sneaking in for a while before sidling out a back door undetected - and the whole thing's done and dusted within three minutes. Lovely.
