The last time Gwen Stefani, Dr Dre and Eve all teamed up it was for the latter's superlative Let Me Blow Your Mind. Rich Girl, taken from Stefani's debut solo album, isn't quite as good as that superior hip-hop pop hit, but it's still an ear-catching piece of work.

The opening steal from Fiddler On The Roof's If I Were A Rich Man proves irritating in the long run, but once the song kicks into gear it's dance-pop at it's finest. The lyrics, name-checking Galliano and Vivienne Westwood, are obviously tongue-in-cheek, Eve contributes her customary flawless rap and Dre's production is as funky as ever.

Overall it's a great fun song, and far superior to some of the dross that comes out these days. Now if she could just drop this slightly creepy Harajuku Girls nonsense...
