This brand new New York electro-pop rocking band was formed under rather unusual circumstances, to say the least.

The two members, Ben and Lo formed the band in order to create unique music for Lo's exclusive ice cream truck. Their name is derived from a Huggy Bear reference to a "boy/girl revolution". This band also own their own product line 'Hearts Challenger' and supposedly 'Hearts Revolution' plays in the background, helping them to sell their products.

But what is the single like' Well it begins in a rather Daft Punk style, with its disco-punk, cyber-electronic introduction leading into the repeated Japanese lyrics meaning, 'Let's Dance'. The band have a decent style, but their sense of rhythm in this song sucks. It is slightly too much like literal robot rock, remaining essentially on one pitch throughout the song.

The speaking of lyrics halfway through the song gives it a Robots in Disguise kind of feel. Together, the lyrics and beats create a kind of neo-fantasy and the 'boxes and bunnies' in the song must refer to those being sold by 'Hearts Challenger'. All in all, pretty sweat for ice cream truck music, but when it comes to selling itself rather than other products, Hearts Revolution have a little more work to do.
