The Glaswegian power-punk girls return with more disposable lyrics, frantic guitars and some great "oh-oh ohs" in the chorus. They didn't even give away a free badge this time and I still love 'em.

This is because The Hedrons are quite simply brilliant. If you don't believe me, just shut up and lock yourself in a cupboard with their singles on your iPod at full volume and don't come out until you've seen sense. Imagine The Pipettes but with more punk and less polkadots, or The Long Blondes without the fashionista gloss, or just The Shangri-Las managed by Malcolm McLaren and you'll be getting the idea.

Heatseeker is their third single and heralds the arrival of their debut album, One More Won't Kill Us in February. In the meantime, they're on tour throughout January. Make sure you don't miss them.
