Ever since Richey Edwards grabbed a razorblade and carved the words '4 Real' into his forearm in an attempt to prove he wasn't some kind of faker, those words have become common currency amongst those claiming they 'mean it, man'.
So are The Heights for real? They fit quite nicely into the 'white males with cool haircuts, stubble and skinny jeans' market, and the song itself is an energetic buzz, coming off like The Strokes covering a Foo Fighters song.
It's all done with verve and aplomb aplenty, and vocalist Owain Ginsberg has a pleasingly lazy drawl to his voice, but The Heights don't really do enough to distinguish themselves from the current, rather crowded, crop of indie-rock guitar bands out there.
