With debut single, Long Way Home, The Heights (quietly) announced their arrival. Having successfully turned a few heads and pricked a few ears, The Heights will hope second single, Jamaica Beer Eyes, paves the way to greater attention.

Jamaica Beer Eyes is a no questions asked pop rock single, with intelligent, and addictive hooks. The raw, dirty guitar/bass combo is reminiscent of Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. As instantly lovable as it is memorable it would seem The Heights have done their bit, now it's down to us fickle music buying types.

B-sides Sweet Isabelle and Kettle Song suggest The Heights have the staying power, Sweet Isabelle in particular stands out with a sizeable riff rattling through the chorus and a frenzied vocal delivery. The Heights are the best new band around at the moment.
