Hell is for Heroes - serious sounding name and serious sounding music. You get the feeling HIFH take their rock seriously. No pop frivolity here, just straight-up, overwrought, emotional rock.

Depending on your view of things, this could be a tonic for the soul, or a pompous waste of space. In the end I have to go with the former; whilst not setting my world on fire, it is refreshing to hear a band sound like they mean business with no post-modern subtlety - this is music for young men with issues and a lot of black clothes.

The obvious comparison and one the band seem keen to enforce, would be the gloriously named US art-rockers ...And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead, Night Vision probably won't be troubling the upper regions of the charts any time soon, but then they probably prefer it that way.
