Proving just how much you can do with a stupidly simple riff, Cruel Kindness wears a trash rock sneer but pumps pure energy courtesy of ex-Pitchshifter tub-thumper Jason Bowld.
For sins in a previous life, Hiding Place are currently on tour with pop goths The Rasmus, but in contrast offer the world some mega-tuneful, pseudo-stoner rock with a punky twist. Think Daniel Johns (Silver Chair) at his best, jamming with QOTSA's Josh Homme and you'll be in the right neighbourhood.
Provided that their tour with Finnish, feather-touting farts doesn't ruin them, Hiding Place could just be ready to come out of their seclusion and into the spotlight.
