The Holloways have been around for a while now, without making any real impression on anyone. Their misfortune was to appear at the same time as a whole host of other bands after The Libertines imploded, leaving us with far too many grimy post-punk urchins to keep our eye on.
Two Left Feet is a re-release of their debut single, a chirpy tale of going out to a club to find someone to, ahem, dance with enlivened by fiddles and harmonica. Rather like the much missed Larrikin Love, The Holloways add something a bit different to the usual post-Pete'n'Carl bands out there.
It's funny (the opening line references The Smiths - "I found a stitch to wear and came out tonight"), catchy and makes you smile. If Two Left Feet failed to achieve any success this time round, then it would be a crying shame for this is a great little pop song.
