Holy Fuck sound like a Jesus And Mary Chain from the future, the guitars replaced with waves of synth intricacies, the vocals with pained screams, but the vast soundscapes and driving sonic experimentation/annihilation remain a defining feature.

The rhythm section is formidable to say the least, the bass low and unrelenting, while the drummer sounds like he goes through about one kit a week, pummelling it into submission with thunderous, super-charged rolls and cymbal smashing.

It won’t be to everyone’s taste, and Holy Fuck may just make a bunch of indie kids shit themselves on their impending tour with Foals, but if this evidence is anything to go by, their live shows are super-tight, and a little bit mind-blowing.
