The Human Value's debut single Give Me, from their eponymous first album, tests their reputation as one of the hottest new bands from the West Coast of America, evocative of everything good about the '80s, and has earned them comparisons with the punk sounds of the age.
There's a wonderful dirty guitar riff, great growly female vocal, and a solid rhythm. Yet it could do with more variety.
It's possible they have more to offer than this - it's a debut, after all - but on the strength of this single, I'm yet to be sold on The Human Value.
