We Intertwined is an essentially harmless track. It's full of poppy US bubblegum sentiment but it's difficult to see it catching on over here. It's the kind of stuff we've heard before, and about ten years ago at that.

Clearly influenced by the likes of Barenaked Ladies this has 'deliberately quirky' written on it in large letters. As a result it seems slightly forced to UK ears. It's wacky tone is helped by the fact that it feels like two songs welded together at the chorus. You'll either find this interesting or slightly jarring.

It's quite a happy tune, designed to put a smile on your face but it doesn't really work. Close your eyes and suddenly you find yourself in a crazy campus comedy or a Farrelly brothers movie and that's where the problem lies: I can only picture this song accompanying the end credits of the latest Jim Carrey film.
