If you're not yet acquainted with the music of Helsinki's Husky Rescue then I would strongly point you in the direction of their Country Falls album, but would also advise you to supplement this with their EPs, for they have a pleasing knack of securing imaginative remixers. I say "their" advisedly, since the project is the brainchild of Marko Nyberg, supplemented by choice vocalists and players.

The dreamy City Lights is a treat, with hints of country music round the edge of the mostly electronic picture, a kind of even sleepier Royksopp. Product.01's remix will jolt you out of your slumber, however, being an electro-house mash of bleeps that still does justice to the vocal. Most surprising is the version from Vector Lovers, opting for simplicity in placing the vocal upfront and dressing it with a light accompaniment of electronic figures.

Nyberg and charges made a recent impact supporting Morcheeba on their UK tour, appearing also at Glastonbury and Wireless. Let's hope it's not long before they return to these shores.
